McMass Architects is an architecture studio led by Laura McLaughlin.
We are an ARB and RIBA chartered architecture practice based in London and the West Midlands.
About us
Laura McLaughlin (BA Hons, MArch, PGDipArch, ARB, RIBA) studied at Manchester School of Architecture and the RIBA. Prior to forming McMass Architects she worked on award winning residential and commercial projects at Waugh Thistleton Architects in Shoreditch. She then went to work as a Project Manager and Head of Architecture at development company Massey Ltd.
Her combined expertise and experience in architectural design, construction, and commercial property development enable her to design buildings of exceptional quality which are also attractive, liveable and simple to construct.
Our approach
Our designs seek to respond to the existing environment surrounding a site. We look at the neighbouring buildings, monitor environmental conditions, research the historic environment and draw on local materials to create buildings that relate to their setting.
We work with other built environment professionals from key disciplines such as engineering, town planning and environmental science on a bespoke project-by-project basis, and can recruit and manage such contributors as required.
